How to resize images into a PDF

  1. 1 Open the tool at pdfdistrict.com/resize-images-to-pdf/ and add your images.
  2. 2 Choose the longest side. Options run from the original size down to 1000 px; images are only reduced, never enlarged.
  3. 3 Choose the quality. The JPEG quality slider goes from 40% to 95%; 75% is a good start.
  4. 4 Pick a page size and create the PDF. Fit to image, A4 or US Letter. A message shows the before-and-after size.

What changes

Every image becomes a JPEG, so transparent areas of a PNG turn white. If you don’t need to shrink the images, Image to PDF keeps them as they are. To shrink an existing PDF instead, see how to reduce PDF size for online forms.

PDFDistrict is a free, browser-based PDF toolkit that processes files locally — files are never uploaded.
