Why one PDF works better than separate photos

Uploading five or six separate photos means the teacher has to open each one individually and guess the order they belong in. Most portals — Google Classroom, Canvas, and similar — are built around a single-file submission, and grading is a lot easier when the pages are already in the right sequence inside one document.

Before you convert: order and orientation matter

PDFDistrict turns each photo into one page, in the order you add them — there’s no reordering step afterward, so it’s worth getting this right before you convert:

  • Add the photos in page order. If you select multiple files at once, they’re usually listed in the order they were taken — check the order in the tool before converting.
  • Check for sideways shots. Phone cameras don’t always save orientation consistently, so a photo that looks upright on your screen can occasionally end up sideways in the PDF.

How to turn your photos into one PDF

  1. 1Open the tool at pdfdistrict.com/img-to-pdf/.
  2. 2Select all your photos at once, in page order, and pick a page size (or keep each page matched to its photo’s own size).
  3. 3Click convert. One PDF downloads with each photo as its own page, in the order you added them.

If a page comes out sideways

Image to PDF doesn’t rotate pages on its own — if one ends up on its side, open the result in Rotate, fix just that page, and download the corrected version.

If the file is too big to upload

A dozen full-resolution photos can add up to a large PDF. If the portal rejects it for size, run it through Compress before resubmitting.
