The short version: PDFDistrict does not have a server-side backend, does not require an account, and never uploads, stores, or transmits your PDF or image files. All file processing happens directly on your device.

1. Files you process

When you use any tool on this site (Merge, Split, Compress, Rotate, Delete, Extract, Reorder, Image → PDF, Preview), the file you select is read directly into your browser's memory. It is never sent to a server, never stored on disk by us, and is discarded automatically when you close the tool or your browser tab.

2. Information we do not collect

  • We do not collect or store the contents of any PDF or image you upload.
  • We do not require — or offer — user accounts, logins, or passwords.
  • We do not use server-side databases to store user files.

3. Third-party services (analytics, advertising, consent)

This site uses three Google services, all of which run in your browser and are unrelated to how your PDF files are handled:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — aggregate traffic analytics (e.g. number of visits, pages viewed). This data is not linked to the files you process, since those files never leave your device.
  • Google AdSense — serves the advertising that supports this free site. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google's Ad Settings.
  • Google Funding Choices — Google's consent management tooling, which may show a cookie/consent message to visitors in regions where this is required, and manages the consent signals passed to Google Analytics and AdSense.

4. Third-party libraries

PDFDistrict uses third-party software components that run entirely inside your browser to power its tools. These components do not transmit your files anywhere.

5. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
