Practical use cases

  • Adding a company logo to the first page of a report before sending it.
  • Placing a scanned stamp or seal on a document.
  • Putting a small picture, such as a product photo, next to existing text.

What it does — and doesn’t — change

The image is drawn on top of the page content; it does not edit the existing text or images. It is not a signature tool (use Sign PDF for that), and one image is placed per run.

Common problems

  • Nothing happens when you click Add Image: you need to choose an image first — the tool shows “Choose an image first.” if none is selected.
  • The PDF got much bigger: the image is embedded at its original resolution, so a very large picture adds weight. Use a smaller image or reduce it first.
  • A transparent PNG looks different on screen: transparent areas stay transparent, so the page shows through them.
