How to extract pages from a PDF
- 1 Open the Extract tool at pdfdistrict.com/extract/ and select your PDF. A thumbnail preview of all pages loads in the tool.

What “extracting” pages actually means
When you extract pages from a PDF, you’re telling the tool: “Create a new PDF that contains only these pages.” The original document is not touched. You end up with two files: the original with all its pages, and a new PDF containing only the pages you chose.
The focus is on what to keep: you pick the pages you want and the tool saves a copy of them as their own file. The pages can be non-contiguous (page 1, page 5, page 12), and you can split the whole document instead when you want it divided into several files.
How to export or copy a single page from a PDF
Extracting one page works exactly the same as extracting ten. Open the tool, click the one thumbnail you need, and click Extract Pages — you’ll get a new, single-page PDF. There’s no separate mode or extra step for a single page.
This is also the fastest way to save a specific PDF page as its own file: instead of printing the whole document to grab one page, or emailing a report when the recipient only needs page 4, extract just that page and share the smaller file.
How to export specific pages from a PDF
You aren’t limited to one page or to consecutive pages. Click any combination of thumbnails and they are exported together in one new PDF. The pages always come out in their original (ascending) order, regardless of the order you clicked them. If you need a different sequence afterwards, run the result through the Reorder tool.
What happens to the original
Nothing. The tool reads your PDF to show the thumbnails, but it never modifies the original file. Extraction creates a new PDF; the document you started with stays as it was on your device.
This makes extraction safe to use even when you’re working with important documents. You can always go back to the original if you need different pages later.
